Dear Colleagues:

On behalf of the U.S. Department of Labor, Women’s Bureau, I am pleased to announce the availability of approximately $1.294 million in grant funds authorized by the Women in Apprenticeship and Nontraditional Occupations Act of 1992 (WANTO) and the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2017, for the WANTO Technical Assistance Grant Program.

This program is intended to provide technical assistance to employers and labor unions to encourage employment of women in apprentice-able occupations and nontraditional occupations.

We look forward to receiving more innovative grant applications this year. Below you will find more information and guidelines for the WANTO grant program. I would like to emphasize that up to four grants of $250,000 to $500,000 each will be awarded.
